I attended Stanford University for both undergrad (Human Biology) and graduate school (Education). I taught high school Biology and Biology Honors at King Drew High School in Compton for three years, before entering law school at UCLA. Tutoring one-on-one is ideal, because it allows me to assess each student's individual learning needs, and address each problem area in a targeted manner. The A-list is unique in the way that it carefully matches tutors and students to allow for the best fit, maximizing the ability of each tutor to improve the student's performance while building a meaningful relationship that builds both confidence and skills.

I received my B.A. in History from Pomona College and my Elementary, Bilingual (Spanish) Teaching Credential from the LAUSD District Intern Program. I taught first grade for two years in Huntington Park. In high school, I founded a peer-tutoring program. While at Pomona, I worked with Upward Bound in El Monte to help college-bound sophomores and juniors with AP classes and SAT preparation. I enjoy teaching students one-on-one because I can assess individual needs and focus on making efficient progress toward goals. I believe that privately tutoring students increases confidence through practice and encouragement. A-List Tutoring Services, LLC has been a valuable resource in matching me with students in my community. They establish communication between parents, students, teachers and tutors that enables each child to reach his/her potential.

Originally from Denver, Colorado, I graduated cum laude, with high honors in my major from Dartmouth College. In high school, I was a member of the International Baccalaureate program and took several AP exams. In addition to the fun stuff like Algebra II and essay writing, I am also experienced in teaching filmmaking, digital design, and alpine skiing. My favorite part about tutoring is getting to know an interesting, diverse group of young people in one-on-one settings. I also like it when I can get my students to laugh at my nerdy math jokes. I love working with the A-List because I feel like they do an extraordinary job of linking their students with appropriate tutors.
